KONIBAJE NEWS & FEATURES:Eaglets off to Morocco

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets left Lagos for Casablanca, Morocco, where they will participate in the 10th Africa Under-17 Championship kicking off on Saturday.

The Team, comprising thirty players and ten Officials, including the Technical crew, will move to Marrakech, Venue of their Group B matches.

The Eaglets returned from a four week final training programme at the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence in Qatar on Sunday. Nigeria, three times World Champions, last featured at the Africa Under-17 Championship in 2007 finals in Togo and won.

They proceeded to win the FIFA under 17 World Cup finals in South Korea.
CAF will on Friday conduct the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examination on all participating Teams. Nigeria and
Ghana will clash in the most anticipated match of the Group phase in Marrakech on Sunday, after Cote D’ivoire and Congo Brazzaville would have done battle at the same Venue.
